A tall, American art studio, wheel thrown lamp in Chinese form. The lamp produced in the Art Deco period, 1920's /1930's
Although a product of the Art Deco, its line follows the classic form of the Chinese Yen Yen shape of early 18th century porcelain, a long necked, baluster style, vase shape, rising to a trumpet shaped mouth.
The lamp glazed with a mega watt burst of bright sunshine yellow. The lamp on a turned maple wood base, lacquered in black, the custom made lamp cap, gold plated. The lamp shown with a black, pleated silk shade suggestion.
