A very charming, little English, Chinoiserie antique candlestick accent lamp, or task light of the Edwardian era. The candlestick column turned with a fluted baluster shape and lacquered in Chinese sealing wax red. The lamp shown with a pleated, black silk shade suggestion.
The circular lamp base and column, painted with Chinoiserie subjects in black and faded gilding, with hollow rock, willow trees, a Chinese house and a zigzag fence. A very pretty little candlestick lamp with the original lacquer work in beautiful condition. Perfect for a little desk or side table. The lamp designed for a 25w lamp holder.
Accent Lamps
Accent lamps are designed to produce a mood, a look or feel in a room, rather than providing a major source of light in a space. In general, an accent lamp is a relatively small lamp, with usually no more than a maximum height of about 20"/50cm including the lamp shade. Accent lamps also serve as decorative accents within a room.
